Here are a few images from a shoot with my friend mel the other day. I intended on only shooting with black and white but ended up using color. Unfortunately, all I had around was expired film. I plan on reshooting the same images with new film soon( the grain is too much with the expired)

Two more images from the current series... I ran out of new rolls of film so I had to shoot them on expired film. Hence the colours.

This is my Grandma. When I was younger I would go stay at her house for a week or two during the summer. I would always complain about being bored but really never was. I remember running around the woods, hanging out with my Pap and enjoying simple country life.

This is my Pap's chair. Since he died a few years ago, I seldomly visit here anymore. Everything feels so out of place without him there. He was the most amazing person I've ever met.

Here are a few images from my time at home over the holiday...

The first person is Brittany. Brittany was my first love, and despite our many ups an downs we are still decent friends today. Brittany currently lives at th Genetti Hotel in Williamsport, which is one of the nicest hotels there.

This is my mother. There isnt much to say about her except she has always been there for me and helped me out when times have been rough. The images of her were shot at my Grandma's house outside of State College P.A. Her images will most likely be the only ones shot outdoors as it makes reference to mother earth. The main image of her was shot on the old railroad bed behind her former home as a child. And the detail image is of the now storage shed that was at one time a playhouse for her and her sisters. Lately, I've been feeling as though I need to grow up more and move away from things I did as a child. In hearing my mother talk about the shed it made me miss my own childhood.

Carlos is a professor at Temple University, He is a talented Harpsichordist, he is one of the most well dressed people I know... he is only 25 years old.

Here are two film shots of Montana from last week. I have tons more but these were the strongest. I also bought a monitor calibrator to make printing at school easier. However, its making me feel like the images are off in colour now.

My, it's been way too long since my last update. I finally bought an external drive, and have begun shooting for my class. So there should be some steady updates in the near future. I have also been aquiring more antique photographs and tintypes and have my eye on a couple beautiful daguerreotypes that I may buy myself for xmas. I'm in love with my new camera and finally have all my lighting equipment. I just scanned some images from my shoot with my friend Montana, but since I am shooting her again thursday, I will wait and post all the images this weekend. in the meantime here are two digital images from the shoot.

Nikon d200- 18-200vr- lighting: 1 285hv/umbrella

note- This is Montana... It's actually far more difficult to make a bad image of her than to make a good one.

Here are some of the images from my last trip to New York and some older images from around Philadelphia

Polaroid 669 film- Hasselblad 500c-120mm lens

P.S.- I going to be purchasing a Mamiya 6 and the rest of my lighting equipment this coming week... that means I get to start shooting portraits, on film. I've been researching this camera for a long time now and I am really excited that it will hopefully become my main camera. I am also sending my Hasselblad in to get fixed so that I will be able to shoot film in that as well.
